So after all that hugga-mugga last week about "suspending" his campaign (which he didn't) to race back to Washington to help negotiate a deal for the financial crisis (which he didn't), and threatening to not show up at the debate Friday night (which might not have been a bad idea after all), John McCain spent Saturday
in his condo in Arlington and made a bunch of phone calls.
Asked why Mr. McCain did not go to Capitol Hill after coming back to Washington to help with negotiations, [McCain adviser] Mr. Salter replied that “he can effectively do what he needs to do by phone.’’
I think the words we're looking for are "drama queen."
