Blagojevich Compares his Arrest to Attack on Pearl Harbor
In an interview with the Associated Press yesterday, Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich (D) compared his arrest last month to Japan’s attack on Pearl Harbor. “Dec. 9 to my family, to us, to me, is what Pearl Harbor Day was to the United States,” said Blagojevich, who faces federal corruption charges for attempting to sell President Obama’s vacant Senate seat. “It was a complete surprise, completely unexpected. And just like the United States prevailed in that, we’ll prevail in this.”It's a great time to be from Illinois! I'm sure next we'll be hearing that being kept from his morning jog is worse than the Hindenburg disaster.
