And the idea that we should be parsing and qualifying and slicing what types of rape we're talking about doesn't make sense to the American people."—President Barack Obama, in response to Rep. Todd Akin's gross and scientifically inaccurate rape apologia.
I pretty much love this—although, the truth is, Akin's horseshit does, in fact, "make sense" to lots of American people. What I wish the President would have said is that it doesn't make sense to decent American people.
