I've heard victim-blamers say: well, she shouldn't have been wearing that. she shouldn't have been drunk. she shouldn't have been out alone. what was a woman doing at a party like that anyway?
I've long wondered what exactly a woman needs to do to get widespread sympathy and empathy when she's in trouble. And now I know.
She needs to not exist.
