She literally said "I take absolute personal responsibility." Here's a takeaway—This shit is what media STILL won't take responsibility for. pic.twitter.com/BOHYIdaK0a

Imagine being someone who will straight. up. lie. about what Clinton said re: her own responsibility, while refusing to examine their own.

The political press has searched for explanations for why she lost under every rock and in every crevice, but refuse to look in a mirror.

How many times have I written about coverage that's about humiliating Hillary & capturing her pain on camera? (Lots) https://t.co/Gg8XWRFVAd pic.twitter.com/uqGiRWyJYe

The expectation that Hillary flagellate herself for our satisfied consumption is not new. It is a defining feature of coverage of her.

And what I can tell you is this: There is no responsibility she could take, no apology she could offer, that will satisfy this lust.

She must be punished for her assertion that she has a right to take up space. To speak and be heard. To lead.

But they refuse to acknowledge the part they have played and are playing in doing that very thing to *this* woman. To Hillary Clinton.
— Melissa McEwan (@Shakestweetz) May 2, 2017
When the history of this time is written, they'll be remembered as just another collection of villains who sought to punish an uppity woman.

I just can't even articulate the emotion I'm having right now watching the media do exactly the thing they did to Hillary Clinton through the entire election (and her entire career) over the specific issue of her taking responsibility for losing.
It's like a Escher mezzotint of endless fuckery.
