Here is a thread for discussion of all things gaming: Board games, card games, video games, dice games, role-playing games, strategy games, party games, whether you play in groups or on your own. Tell us all about the games you love!
Last night, I got a bug up my ass to do some jigsaw puzzling, which I haven't done in years, but used to love doing — especially with my nana, who was a constant puzzler and always had one with at least 1,000 pieces in progress at her house.
So I ordered a cheap 300-piece puzzle, just to get back into the swing of it, and I'm really excited for it to arrive so I can get started!
I know that some people don't consider jigsaw puzzles "games," but I've always thought of them as the board game equivalent of solitaire. When I was a kid, any time I was in the mood for a board game but had no one with whom to play, I'd pull out a jigsaw puzzle and happily occupy myself with that for hours.
I always enjoyed the combination of challenge and serenity with which jigsaw puzzles provide me, and I hope I still feel that way when my new puzzle gets here.
What game(s) have you been playing lately?
